Chris Maley joined Maclarens Lawyers in 1973 and has been a partner with the firm since 1975. During his time at Maclarens, Chris has worked primarily in the fields of property law and commercial law.

Chris has significant experience in resolving commercial disputes and, in particular, matters before the Land & Environment Court in which his in-depth knowledge of building and construction law, as well as his experience working with local government, have served him well.

Well-respected for his expertise, Chris has also lectured at the University of Western Sydney on the subjects of Building/Construction Law and Dispute Resolution for the past 17 years.

In 1974 Chris was appointed a tax agent and in 1987 a Notary Public. Chris was also awarded an Order of Australia Medal in 2004.

Jessica Ngoy joined Maclarens in 2005 as a member of the Commercial Law practice team after graduating from the University of NSW with a combined Science and Law degree. In 2008, she was appointed as a partner to the firm.

Prior to joining the firm, Jessica had gained invaluable experience working for the Department of Community Services Legal Department and other commercial law firms in the city.

Jessica specialises in both commercial law and local government law. She has represented clients and provided advice in the following areas:

  • Distribution and supply agreements
  • Consumer protection
  • Restrictive trade practices
  • Media and communication
  • Corporate regulation
  • Land and Environment Court disputes
  • Franchise agreements

Louis Andreatta graduated as a lawyer from the Australian National University (ANU) and joined Maclarens Lawyers in 1976. He has been a partner of Maclarens since 1978 and is now a Consultant to the firm.

Since his admission as a solicitor, Louis has focussed on both litigation and property law.

A significant component of Louis’ work today involves acting for clients with relation to property transactions. His main areas of practice include the sale and purchase of residential, commercial and industrial property, and acting for clients in relation to the lease of commercial or industrial premises. Louis’ significant experience and knowledge in the abovementioned areas is invaluable to clients.

In addition to property law, Louis is a highly experienced general litigator. He successfully represents clients in both criminal law and traffic law matters, and accepts instructions in matters such as assault, AVOs, drug offences, stealing and driving offences.

Les Feher was admitted as a solicitor in 1988 after graduating from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws Degree.

He has extensive experience as a litigator in the Supreme Court, District Court, Local Court, Court of Appeal, Workers’ Compensation Commission and related Tribunals, including working on complex civil and insurance litigation matters.

At Maclarens Lawyers, Les works on all aspects of commercial litigation, including business disputes involving breaches of contract or claims for negligence, employment disputes, and residential and commercial building and construction disputes.

He became an accredited specialist in personal injury law in 1996 and has maintained his specialist accreditation since that time, even whilst working in other areas of the practice.

Les has successfully represented hundreds of clients in his years of practice.

Michael was admitted as a solicitor in 1982 after graduating with Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from Sydney University. After completing Articles at a suburban practice he entered into partnership at a practice in the Inner Western suburbs of Sydney and in 1998 established Witts Solicitors. Throughout his working life Michael has focussed on domestic conveyancing and wills and estates.

Michael currently holds an appointment as a Civil Claims Arbitrator to the Downing Centre and Burwood Local Courts.

For over 25 years, Michael has drafted numerous wills for estates ranging in size from the most modest to the very large and complex. During that time, he has acted for Executors, Administrators, Trustees, Beneficiaries and Claimants in all types of estates including claims on Intestacy and under the Family Provisions Act.
